So I got tagged couple hundred times on this post from dunkademics. Many people ask me if this is true. If this is how Lebron got his hops. The most durable and athletic athlete turns out to have totally different foot configuration than the rest. What is going on? Could we learn from this? My research shows there is a missing mechanism that regular folks are not tapping into. The hyperarch mechanism is subconscious. It is developed while the person is young and growing. If you know what to look for, the pattern is pretty consistent, the hyperarch mechanism doesn't discriminate. A fine example @gianmarcotamberi of jumping high without muscle hypertrophy. In exhibit 4, while the great champ stands on the 🏄, the foot has different state, just like water, most of the fascia content is simply water. I saw some online video about adjusting the stride length of penultimate step. that is not going to help at all. Fundamentally the body is completely different. Orange and apple are not the same thing. The elite athletes believe if you just tweak a little bit you can jump like them.
